Reach out... only ONE touch!

Image
I just remembered one of my dreams which touched me deeply and which also gave me a strong assurance that God cleansed all my sins. I want to share it with you: In my dream I was laying on a very dusty road and I was dirty myself. But I saw Jesus' feet before me and they were shining very brightly. Surprisingly I started to sing a song out of my whole heart which I listened to some months ago before I had the dream (so after waking up I was so amazed that I remembered the song). This were the words: "If I could just touch the hem of His garment, I know I'd be made whole. If I could just press my way through this madness, His love would heal my soul, if only one touch!" While I was singing and in a way my heart screaming these words, I started to reach out my hand towards His feet with my face down looking at the dust. I felt so unworthy to raise my head, I was ashamed of my condition and I knew He was pure and glorious shining brighter than the stars. I think these ...

Worship

Image
I love to adore and worship God. It's something I loved doing after my birth in Christ. I love to DELIGHT  (I like this word so much...it's my fav) myself in the Lord and to worship Him all day long for everything He is and does. Oh, He is so perfect in everything He does. I've been asking Him sincerely why He gave me this love for worship, without giving me a great voice, because I'm not a brilliant singer, even though I'm not a bad singer either. But I would want to give the very best praises to Him, who loves me more than anyone could ever love me. I was struggling with myself and asking Him why my voice isn't so great as the voices of some of my favorite artists. He filled me with such a peace and acceptance and simply told me, He really loves how I worship and love Him. He doesn't look at the physical voice, He looks at the voice of the heart and enjoys my dedication and heart's voice. Those words were enough for me. Hm... do you know what these ...

God knows the desires of your heart (2)

Image
God is really amazing. He amazes me every time. I was planning to buy myself a laptop, because I really needed one. I have a PC which I used for years and which was very faithful to me :) As I started my Master's Degree I needed a laptop, because I had to go to the city where I'm studying every weekend.

God knows the desires of your heart (1)

I want to write a post to glorify God by telling how wonderful He is and how perfect His ways are!!! It's overwhelming when we stop and acknowledge God in our way. He has taken care of each of us well, I'm sure of that.

Ascent from Darkness: How Satan's Soldier Became God's Warrior by Michael Leehan

Image
Michael Leehan tells the story of his life, with a really short glimpse into his childhood and then recounts how he became a devoted satanist surrounded by darkness. He becomes a devoted follower of Satan through rituals and sacrifices. His life is normal in the sight of others, because he lives as everybody else before the eyes of the others: studying, having a job, spending time with his children, etc. This story is really something which makes you think about many things, like the easiness to seduce "christian" women easier than those from a bar, the loss of power of God's people and His church, and so on.

Learning through teaching

Image
After finishing my Bachelor studies, I didn't know what to do from there and where to search for a job. I sought God to show me what's His plan for that season of my life. He didn't answer only after two months which seemed so long for me, but I had peace in my waiting and resting after my finals and all the other exams. Then God opened doors for me to work as a home school- teacher. I was happy about it and I was eager to see what God holds for me. Then when school started for the pupils, God told me to use my skills to tutor kids who have problems or to help kids to do their homework after school. I thought about writing a short job ad in the newspaper. I even bought the newspaper to write it there, BUT... God surprised me and started sending me awesome kids. My telephone rang and my schedule was full. I was amazed by God's faithfulness and His work. I saw His hand in it. I had very different students: small, big,...

On the Mission Field

Image
At the beginning of September I was invited by great people to translate for some Austrian people. At first I was reluctant to go, but God encouraged me and gave me courage to do it for His glory. So, I accepted the invitation because of Him! He promised to give me the words to speak and that He'll be near to me along these days: oh, He's so faithful to His words... that's how it was. I felt Him accompanying me everywhere I went. I feel like I shouldn't write about what we did there, because we did it for God's glory and I'm bragging about Him and His awesomeness, not about what some people or I, myself, do or did. I want to encourage you to trust God through every circumstance and to rely on Him for help! He's always there for you. Listen to His voice... I'm convinced that you also delight in hearing your Bridegroom's voice as I do. So, invest in this relationship! Here are some pics with my comments to them: I never was in such a ...

Children's ministry

Image
Geno, telling the story of Paul In July we had a week with children and it was the start of the children's ministry. My heart was so happy when my sister told me that she feels that God wants to equip the children in our town to be a change for the town. She is such a blessing...I remember the time when she taught us at the Sunday School when we were children. I also remember how she led us (her siblings) to trust God in everything and pray. She's a true blessing in everybody's life. I can't forget her prayer, she used to pray: "Teach me to number my days aright, that I may gain a heart of wisdom" (Psalm 90:12). And believe me: she is sooo wise! I'm not saying she's perfect, but she loves the Lord more than anything and lives her life after God's Word. I'm thankful that God put her into my life. Thanks for everything, sister <3 You are very valuable and what you do makes a difference to all who surround you!

God-sent friend

Image
I wanted to write this since a long time ago. It's about a person who I met in 2008. I met this friend 4 years ago and it was interesting how everything came together. I totally surrendered my life to Christ in the same year and God brought him into my life to grow spiritually. I don't know how to explain everything we went through in these years, but I know something for sure, he was an answer from God to my prayers: I was praying for a friend with whom I could talk about God and the Bible. And with him I could do that. What I experienced was supernatural. We often prayed for each other (even if we went to the hairdresser) and we had great results. Our prayers were always answered. We had also times when we fasted together for more power from heaven for different situations. I have to be sincere...I never thought about having a boy as a friend, I haven't specified it in my prayers that it should be a girl. But I'm so thankful to God that he chose Robert Pop...he w...

Serving ^_^

Image
The group from Soromiklea I was asked by a group from Switzerland to help with translating. I'm always very happy when God opens doors to serve. So, I rejoiced when I was asked again to translate for these wonderful people, who use to come every summer. I translated at the VBS (Vacation Bible School) and I was very blessed by God with occasions in which I saw children rejoicing and my heart leaped when I felt the love of God for them...It was soooo interesting, because I have never felt like that. It's such a great feeling and abundant love!  I started loving the kids so much! It was such a great feeling and experience... a new level!  The stories

Club Beyond- part 3

Image
That week I met great people who allowed me to have a peek into their lives. I will remember every person who talked to me, shared his/her partner-life with me, played with me, helped me to work at the playground, sang a song, tossed the Frisbee at me, sat by my side, painted my face, hugged me, gave me earrings, gave me two bracelets with SP, chatted with me while waiting at the showers, greeted me by always using my name, interviewed me for an article, asked me to write words in Romanian in his notebook, spoke with me a few words in German, invited me to sit at the table, ...everything is stored somewhere special. So, don't forget that everything you do for someone else is very special even if you think it's nothing or

Club Beyond- part 2

Image
The awesome things in the week I was in this camp were the meetings we had each evening. We had a great worship leader: author and musician Tara-Leigh Cobble possesses a unique trio of gifts that holds an obvious appeal for churches and colleges seeking a seamless presentation.  and an awesome Pastor: Jonathan Hill . The topic of the week was: Open My Eyes ! Every word was a blessing to me. Jonathan Hill is a man of God with a great calling. I was so happy when I first heard about what he was speaking. He shines a bright light wherever he goes and that is something we all have to do, because we're the children of GOD. "No one, after lighting a lamp, puts it away in a cellar nor under a basket, but on the lampstand, so that those who enter may see the light" Luke 11:33. He also has an awesome family...with sooo cute children, check them out:

Club Beyond- Part 1

Image
The previous week I had the chance to be in a camp. This camp was different from any camp I was in. It was different, because there were many young people from different places and different religions.   Club Beyond is the name used by the Military Community Youth Ministry (MCYM) to identify its ministry with military high school and middle school aged kids worldwide .  There were more than 300 young people at this Club Beyond Service Project. There were five villages where they were doing a fantastic work. The great thing was that they were divided into three groups: one was building a playground for the local school, the second was playing with the Romanian kids and the third was doing VBS with them.

Marriage

Image
I listened to this video and I was amazed about the interpretations of Jewish marriage! Listen to it: How awesome it is to be the bride...and Jesus being the bridegroom...hm...it's so deeeeeep!!!

The Grace Effect: How the Power of One Life Can Reverse the Corruption of Unbelief by Larry Alex Taunton

Image
Larry Taunton starts his book with being at the table with an atheist and speaking about Christianity and the reality of grace. Then he recounts how he and his wife want to adopt an orphan girl from Ukraine named Sasha. As they started the process of adoption, they couldn’t believe what they encountered: corruption, an atheistic shaped country, and false promises of the socialism; a clash of two cultures.  The author connects the story of Sasha with grace. He also describes how a world with atheistic believes would look like: a cold and graceless world. But through Sasha’s story we can see that the world is not beyond the healing power of grace…beyond ”the grace effect”. The book was very interesting, because I wasn’t sure if Larry Taunton and his family would bring the adoption to the end seeing the corruption of the country, the bribes they had to pay and the horrible conditions of the children in the orphanages. As I read the book I was very astonished by the things the...

Being protected!

Image
I read a post about an ‘angelic’ encounter (you can read it too, if you want by clicking here ) and I remembered about an experience which I had in 2009. That was amazing... It was when I was in the 1st year of my Bachelor's Degree and I was really feeling God’s closeness and I was relying on Him constantly (not that I'm not doing it anymore, but then it was pretty new to walk with Him in such proximity). So, I've lost the train, which had a connection to my town. This meant that I had to take a train which didn't have a direct connection to my town. I stood in a bigger town for an hour to wait for the other train to come. It was pretty late (10 pm) and I was alone in a train station on a winter day. It was a cold day, so I went in the waiting room to warm myself up. I didn't have any idea about things going on there. I saw tramps/ homeless people and 'cool' young people standing there. One of the vagrants told me something but I pretended to not hear and...

Learning...

Image
I want to write today about God's ways of teaching me and I also want to write about children.  Now that I teach/tutor children I truly realized how important it is to show a child how much you value him and love him. God taught me hard lessons which I did not understand when I was going through them. When I was a child I was ridiculed at school. There were some reasons...but one of them was that I was a Christian. I hated it and I sometimes even told that I'm not a Christian only to have peace (which I didn't)...and believe me it was true- I wasn't. In those days I wasn't a Christian, only my family was and I myself didn't have a deep relationship with Jesus, only going to church and having a sticker "christian". My colleagues laughed about me, because I was so quiet and didn't speak so much...but what else could I have done? I was hurt and I tried to hide everything so that nobody can see it. I was angry at God that He made everything so...

Spring

Image
Spring is my favorite season...it's such a great time and I have so many thoughts running through my head...so I had to sort them and start writing. Spring is the most wonderful season. It has so many meanings and so many feelings are coming up in me...oh, and the smell of it, is just indescribable. I would sing and tell God these words out of my heart's depth like David:  Bless the LORD, O my soul! O LORD my God, You are very great;  You are clothed with splendor and majesty,

A glimpse into our “mărţişor” tradition

Image
I decided to write about one of Romania's unique traditions, celebrated at the beginning of the spring in every year on the first March. It’s called “mărţişor” (it’s pronounced like this: [mərtsi ʃ or]. It’s a very interesting tradition; I loved it when I was little, because I had the opportunity to receive some “mărţişor” from the people and to give myself some to my mother and to the teachers from school. I want to describe this tradition and to explain some things that are done on this  special  occasion. So, the “mărţişor” is the diminutive of „martie”, in English that means March, something like „dear/little March”. On this day men/ boys give significant objects to women/ girls. These objects are consisting of a jewel or a small decoration for example a flower, an animal, a clover, a heart, a chimney sweeper or other such things. This object is tied to a red and white string. It’s a nice decoration and it’s a true symbol of the coming spring. Every woman or g...
