Arise 'N Shine

I wanted to write this post to my blog on the last day of the previous year and tell you about how happy I am to have you all in my life. I was so blessed the former year that thinking back makes me want to burst out with praise and worship to my God. This post will sum the most important steps I have taken with God in 2015. The most important thing I want to say is that God is so loving and faithful to me that I’m overwhelmed and love-sick for my Bridegroom. In 2015 He has flooded me with His love, presence, identity, joy, encouragement, hope and so much more. I was experiencing Him in such an abundant way. So let’s start:

This is my first post this year and it's unbelievable to me. I don't know why I haven't taken time for it in the past years or why I neglected it that much. But I hope to ketch up and share with all of you what I've learned lately on my journey. First of all I want to tell you using just a few words what my desires and thoughts are for this year:

I was thinking about things I see happening in our local church and my town and I was often discouraged and I had a deep sorrow in my heart. I've kept hungering for more from God and thirsting increasingly after His presence. I've kept dreaming about a transformed society in this town and awaiting a revival. It's so interesting because a few weeks ago I read Hannah's story in the Bible and I was touched by the story. Afterwards God spoke to me exactly from the same story through Corey Russell's book about prayer. So I'll put these things into this post, because I instantly knew God wants to highlight these things.   Despite the disappointment and pain caused by the fact that she was barren , Hannah insisted and continued to bring the deepest desire of her heart before God . Right from the beginning of the book of 1 Samuel we meet two wives , very different from each other . One had children, and the other didn’t...

Something I wanted to write about for some time is about giving! I want to rely on the Word of God and my own experience with giving.  Since I was little I have seen my dad as a very generous person. He never had to think about giving away freely anything he had. He really gave out of love and without second thoughts. My mom sometimes complained about it, because then he didn't have things he needed, but he never complained and never felt the loss of those things he had given away. I was always amazed about His generosity and unselfishness! It amazed me and I always wished to be able to live like that. Then as we, the children, grew up, I saw how my siblings were generous too and I was again amazed by their example. 

I just want to share with you an awesome event that took place and I think it’s important. At the beginning of this year, we've started a worship and prayer meeting on Sunday afternoon, where people who hunger after more of God's Presence and who want to lift God up in unity, come together and seek after that. I know God goes to great lengths to win our heart and to encounter us as a Bridegroom. He is pursuing our hearts, captivating it and we desire to find comfort, strength and rest in this pursuit. He knows exactly how to approach us, how to woo our hearts and awaken a passionate love in us. At these meetings we want to let God have us, let Him do whatever He has to do to awaken us… to make us His completely. We want Him to conquer all of us! We know that pursuing God will be a lifelong journey of ours and that there are going to be ups and downs, but we dedicate ourselves to continually realign ourselves to go after all what He prepares for us. We long to experience ...

Here comes something that has been very close to my heart, or even better: it is part of my life. This is like the story of my life. It's something that really describes what I've been through on my journey on this earth! God is so perfect that every minute of my life makes sense and I find my delight totally in Him!

This topic was on my heart lately and God was directing me to jot a few things down without making a big deal out of it. After I read an article on Charisma Magazine's website about the National Prayer Day Against Pornography and after being stirred to do something against pornography by a question ("Before the end of the year, will you please do something to confront the harms of pornography directly?"), I've committed to write a post about some cruel facts.

The previous week I was so overwhelmed with my tasks at the university and the exams. I'm a "born" perfectionist and I always like to do everything the best way I can. I was so busy that I didn't have time to do my homework the way I wanted to do them and it was such a big burden. I didn't sleep enough and I was always thinking how to work everything out. I was burnt-out at the end of the week when I had to go to the courses and exams. My sisters tried to encourage me, but I was exhausted. God each and every time gave me encouragements, but I still felt the pressure of these things. As I was taking a bath, I listened to a sermon on my cell phone (I usually like to do that... hihi). Through that sermon God spoke to me and I was really touched by what the preacher said about grace. A sentence caught my attention, it was like this: " The Christians should hang on a rope upon the hell for a few minutes to see and realize what God rescued us from. " He also...

Hey friends, God has been working in my heart in the last days and I feel His immense love forming and molding me for something new to come! I don't know what it really is, but I'm sure it's going to be something which will bring me closer to Him.  This week I was thinking about my life and how I wish to be continually overflown by His Spirit to live differently... to live exactly after the Word of God, to go out and speak boldly about my love for Jesus. 

I'm planning to write a post about women, but it's pretty hard for me. So, that doesn't mean that other posts have to wait...no! I really wanted to share with you the awesomeness of God and how He really is the BEST! In a word, I wanted to talk with you about: prayer ! Prayer is such a supernatural weapon, gift and tool we've got...it's  indescribable! We too often forget that and  it's true, we sometimes forget even our own prayers and what we've said. But the awesome thing in it is that God never forgets any of them. And when I say any...I mean it. I don't want to tell you theories, but facts and things which work in my life. In the last days I've experienced God's  faithfulness  and His devotion to what He does...His work and plan. Ah, I'm amazed even as I write these sentences. Sometimes I was thinking: "Can I really say to somebody that God answers ALL my prayers?" And God taught me that I really can say that. Why? Beca...

I read something great this morning and I really felt like sharing it with you: "God's timing is not ours to command.   If we do not start the fire with the first strike  of our match, we must try again.  God does hear our prayer ,  but He may not answer it at the precise time we have appointed in our own minds. Instead, He will reveal Himself to our seeking hearts,  though not necessarily when and where we may expect. Therefore we have a need for perseverance  and steadfast determination in our life of prayer... May we, therefore, never despair.  God's time for mercy will come-- in fact, it has already come,  if our time for believing has arrived. Ask in faith  without  wavering,  but  never  cease to petition the King  simply because He has delayed His reply.   Strike the match  again  and make the sparks fly.  Yet be sure to have your tinder ready,...

The last few weeks snow fell almost every day upon our country and many people are struggling with the big snow. Sadly the people give all the fault to the authorities, who (they say) are incapable to do anything to help people. There are only very few people who bless the authorities, even among Christians...they forget about Romans  13:1. I think the authorities do what they can, but they don't give their best. I don't own this picture!   The roads are full of snow and it is very hard to drive from one place to another.  I don't own this picture I was reading this morning about how Abraham sent his servant to find a wife for his son Isaac. As I was reading, I came to the part, where Isaac went out to meditate and bow down in prayer in the evening.    63 And Isaac went out to meditate and bow down [in prayer] in the open country in the evening; and he looked up and saw that, behold, the camels were coming.   64 And Rebekah looked up, and when she saw Isaac, she dismounted from the camel.   65 For she [had] said to the servant, Who is that man walking across the field to meet us? And the servant [had] said, He is my master. So she took a veil and concealed herself with it. It's awesome to see, Isaac having a deep relationship with God in his youth. During prayer Isaac LOOKED UP and saw that camels are coming. As the servant and Rebekah came nearer, she also LOOKED UP and she saw Isaac.

Maoz Partners and Precious Friends, This is an urgent prayer request.  In order for a Palestinian state to come into being, it must get nine votes out of 15 in the Security Council.  Secondly the resolution must not be vetoed by any of the five permanent members - the U.S., Britain, France, China and Russia. The U.S. has declared that it will veto such a resolution if nine or more members vote for a Palestinian state.  It will be much better for the U.S. if there are less than nine votes - as the the U.S. would then not have to use its veto - which will further alienate the Arab and Moslem world. So far, these nations have declared they will vote for a Palestinian state:  China, Russia, Brazil, India, Lebanon, South Africa.  Now Nigeria and Gabon have just announced they too will vote for a Palestinian state.  That makes eight states.  The nations that have said they will vote against the UN declaring such a state are the U.S., Britain, ...

  The prayer is a song which doesn't need an explanation!
