Ascent from Darkness: How Satan's Soldier Became God's Warrior by Michael Leehan

Michael Leehan tells the story of his life, with a really short glimpse into his childhood and then recounts how he became a devoted satanist surrounded by darkness. He becomes a devoted follower of Satan through rituals and sacrifices. His life is normal in the sight of others, because he lives as everybody else before the eyes of the others: studying, having a job, spending time with his children, etc. This story is really something which makes you think about many things, like the easiness to seduce "christian" women easier than those from a bar, the loss of power of God's people and His church, and so on.

Something that was interesting to me was that he knew who was a real child of God and when they prayed. Michael Leehan understood that the unseen world is realer than the seen. I enjoyed seeing God's hand through all the book... to see how He loves all the people even those who decide to follow the prince of lies. He knows that those people suffer the most, because Satan can't give anything good. Even if he tries to clothe himself into an angel of light he can't copy the perfect Lover and the One who gives freedom. He just comes with illusions, ties you up and when you start to think you have what you need, he makes your life miserable and accuses God, who really didn't have anything to do with it. And he finally wants to win a soul through suicide, as it was in this story...God be praised that He didn't let that happen. What I also learned was that God has given us power to be free and to be always in His presence: He hasn't given us a spirit of fear, but of POWER and of LOVE and of a SOUND MIND. How awesome! I know God can change every person, because He changed me and opened my eyes. I know I was blind and now I see... that's also what M. Leehan's story is about. There are so many things which I would tell you about the book, but I want you to read it yourselves and learn from it.

God bless him and show him more and more
how much He loves him.
