Music

I wanted to write about this topic a long time ago. It's a very important subject that shouldn't be ignored. I know many who won't except what I'm going to write. Perhaps many of you will reject what I'm going to write, but I don't care, because I'm not searching your approval. I want to arise in this world and shine a pure, unmixed and straight light. I don't want to write a long post, either. So, I'm going to get to the point:
I think it's important to choose the right music we listen to. I'm happy and thankful to God that I was raised in a Christian family where my parents taught us the importance of the music we listen to. I hear about so many Christians who listen to music from the world and even parents who deliberately put such songs to their children to listen to, songs which don't glorify God. I believe it's very important, because satan is using music in powerful ways to damage and pollute Christians nowadays. Words, but also attitudes, the character of the musicians, moral bankruptcy of those songs and the addictive, physical drive of the beat all combine to create a rebellious and independent spirit which leads to dangerous and immoral patterns in young listeners. I know this is true, because I met families, who let their children listen to such music and they ended in the world, being rebellious and disrespectful to their parents. The parents were doing everything they could to lead the children in the right way, but this part of their lives they didn't consider and didn't even think about it.

I would advise you to examine the source of the music you listen to. Is it of the world? Read the following Bible verses (they are many other verses about this, but I don't want to write a long post, because I know many don't have time to read it). I'm not quoting the Bible only to impress, but to tell the truth and most importantly to let you know what God says about it and not just what my opinion is:

Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world."
~1 John 2: 15-16!

Test the fruits of your music. Does the music focus the listener on the Lord? Just as wrong music pollutes our soul, so godly, melodious music uplifts and edifies our soul. There are so many Christian songs and artists, that you can choose whatever genres you want or like. I will be sincere with you, you don't have an excuse to listen to music which don't put God on the first place. Be and live 100% for God... it's not a rule, it's something amazing and exhilarating. You are free to choose!

    1. Thanks my dear! You are so cute when you are writing in English... It is true, many 'christian' songs don't glorify God... but the Holy Spirit guides us to soak up what is pure, elevating and through which we can delight in the Lord!
