Human will- part 3

Image
Photo by Samuel Zeller on Unsplash  As I continue with what I started, I want to encourage you to open your hearts and minds to ask for answers and understanding from God. I'm not writing about this topic because I think I know everything about this, not at all. I think I'm only at the surface and still I find it remarkable and exciting, like looking into a treasure chest and finding hidden jewelry or old gold coins. Today I'll write as a follow-up to my last post. Even though it's a new year and I should post something about it, I won't. It doesn't always have to be as expected. Enjoy reading... I will use Scriptures more for those who are skeptical about this topic. 3. The Incapability of the Human Will There are a few questions that we have to find answers to. Can a person deny or accept Jesus as their Savior? Admitting that the person hears the Good News (Romans 10:17) and the Holy Spirit convicts him/her of the lost condition he/ she is in ...

The Human Will- part 1

Image
This is the first part of the series on the Human Will I want to write about. Read the introduction (my previous post) to know why I'm writing about this topic and where my inspiration comes from. Photo by Casey Horner on Unsplash 1. The Nature of the Human Will When the will is acting it means that it has a choice between a positive and a negative or if not there is an inclination towards one rather than the other. Which means that something causes or influences it to choose. This leads to the fact that the will isn't sovereign. A few might say that they can turn their eyes' attention to the right or left and their minds would be indifferent of which they do. That's a contradiction, because it supposes that they can choose one thing in preference to another while being in a state of indifference. Maybe the mind and even the will was indifferent up until it came to have a preference. When indifference disappeared, choice was made.  Indifference --...

Do We Have a Free Will? - Introduction

Image
Photo by Panos Sakalakis on Unsplash This post of mine is inspired from a book I've been reading for months. I didn't finish it, not because I don't like it, but because it challenged me... there were things that I believed about God and they weren't quite right. There were things in between, which if we have to illustrate, it would look like living with a blurred eyesight and being in need of glasses. The book is one of the books that spoke to the core things in my life and challenged my beliefs. Firstly, it is because it speaks about the Father in a perspective which maybe doesn't necessarily feel right, but which is true looking at the Bible as a whole. Secondly, it is because you get a glimpse of the God Almighty and you feel like a nobody (not in a bad way, but truly realizing who you are compared to His greatness) and as you see Him, you end up worshiping, standing in awe and loving Him more than ever before. Thirdly, it is because of the writing ...

Run to, not from

Image
Photo by Joshua Sortino on Unsplash I missed writing on my blog, because I really enjoy it a lot. What I want to write about today is knowing that God is a very good Father, always thinking of the best of us and for us. I can't describe how thankful I am and how my heart is overflowing with gratitude. It's astonishing to see how much He cares for an unimportant girl in a little town in an Eastern European country on a little planet. The lesson I'm learning to practice and believe in with my heart's mind is: God loves me unconditionally and wants me close. You may think: didn't you know that already? It's an old story. Yes, you're right, because He was, is and always will be like that. I won't complicate my post. And I hope from now on I will post short thoughts and things I've been learning. So stay tuned. Now back to what I meant with the statement: God loves me unconditionally! I realized that running to God whenever you fail, ...

The List for a future spouse

Image
I have read something very interesting a few weeks ago and it still is in my thoughts. I can't stop thinking about it and its results. Read the following story from a book I've recently read by Sally Clarkson entitled Dancing with My Father: One mysterious evening before we were married or even dating, I received a phone call from Clay. He asked if I was busy on the next Saturday, explaining that he wanted me to accompany him on a surprise adventure.

Jesus is coming soon, be prepared

Image
The previous week I was so overwhelmed with my tasks at the university and the exams. I'm a "born" perfectionist and I always like to do everything the best way I can. I was so busy that I didn't have time to do my homework the way I wanted to do them and it was such a big burden. I didn't sleep enough and I was always thinking how to work everything out. I was burnt-out at the end of the week when I had to go to the courses and exams. My sisters tried to encourage me, but I was exhausted. God each and every time gave me encouragements, but I still felt the pressure of these things. As I was taking a bath, I listened to a sermon on my cell phone (I usually like to do that... hihi). Through that sermon God spoke to me and I was really touched by what the preacher said about grace. A sentence caught my attention, it was like this: " The Christians should hang on a rope upon the hell for a few minutes to see and realize what God rescued us from. " He also...

Worship

Image
I love to adore and worship God. It's something I loved doing after my birth in Christ. I love to DELIGHT  (I like this word so much...it's my fav) myself in the Lord and to worship Him all day long for everything He is and does. Oh, He is so perfect in everything He does. I've been asking Him sincerely why He gave me this love for worship, without giving me a great voice, because I'm not a brilliant singer, even though I'm not a bad singer either. But I would want to give the very best praises to Him, who loves me more than anyone could ever love me. I was struggling with myself and asking Him why my voice isn't so great as the voices of some of my favorite artists. He filled me with such a peace and acceptance and simply told me, He really loves how I worship and love Him. He doesn't look at the physical voice, He looks at the voice of the heart and enjoys my dedication and heart's voice. Those words were enough for me. Hm... do you know what these ...

Marriage

Image
I listened to this video and I was amazed about the interpretations of Jewish marriage! Listen to it: How awesome it is to be the bride...and Jesus being the bridegroom...hm...it's so deeeeeep!!!

The Grace Effect: How the Power of One Life Can Reverse the Corruption of Unbelief by Larry Alex Taunton

Image
Larry Taunton starts his book with being at the table with an atheist and speaking about Christianity and the reality of grace. Then he recounts how he and his wife want to adopt an orphan girl from Ukraine named Sasha. As they started the process of adoption, they couldn’t believe what they encountered: corruption, an atheistic shaped country, and false promises of the socialism; a clash of two cultures.  The author connects the story of Sasha with grace. He also describes how a world with atheistic believes would look like: a cold and graceless world. But through Sasha’s story we can see that the world is not beyond the healing power of grace…beyond ”the grace effect”. The book was very interesting, because I wasn’t sure if Larry Taunton and his family would bring the adoption to the end seeing the corruption of the country, the bribes they had to pay and the horrible conditions of the children in the orphanages. As I read the book I was very astonished by the things the...

Snow in Romania

Image
The last few weeks snow fell almost every day upon our country and many people are struggling with the big snow. Sadly the people give all the fault to the authorities, who (they say) are incapable to do anything to help people. There are only very few people who bless the authorities, even among Christians...they forget about Romans  13:1. I think the authorities do what they can, but they don't give their best. I don't own this picture!   The roads are full of snow and it is very hard to drive from one place to another. I don't own this picture If you still try to drive, you could have this surprise as the man  waving  in the car.  I don't own this picture

An amazing story

Image
I heard an awesome story which made me think about how Christians suffer in some places. This story is about a woman, whose story is almost as horrifying as the 40 year rule of Gaddafi. It's a story of a nanny to the children of Gaddafi's son and wife. Her name is Shwygar Mullah. I don't own this picture! I heard about her story on CNN (I use to watch news on CNN, 'cause I also improve my English through listening and I like to be informed about what's happening on this earth :) ). Mullah was abused by Hannibal Gaddafi's wife. She was discovered by some rebels, who were hunting for Gaddafi. Mullah was punished for failing to discipline one of their children. Hot water was poured over Mullah's head and she was denied any medical treatment. Over 70% of her body was burned.

Christmas 2011

Image
This Christmas we had the privilege to share some gifts with poor children and families! My heart is always joyful when I can give to the poor! I can feel with them and see their distress. It's like a sword piercing my heart when I see how they live...I use to see poor people sitting on the cold ground...brrr...How can we Christians oversee them? How can we go on and not stop to ask what they need? Look at this cute little boy, he's eyes show so much love and innocence. Here's a great quote: 'Where is God? Everywhere. How do we love God? He gives us the opportunity to do to others what we would like to do to Him, to put our love for Him in action:  loving and serving Him in the distressing disguise of the poorest of the poor.' - Mother Teresa

Mandisa

Image
I started writing this blog post a long time ago, but I was really busy lately so I couldn't finish it! As you noticed the title of the post, I'll be talking about Mandisa! What I heard for the first time was her full name: Mandisa Lynn Hundley! I really didn't have any idea about her full name. She really has a beautiful name ^_^ Thus, as usually, I let the artists speak about themselves and highlight some of their words: " He is able to set us free from absolutely anything" she said "whatever we're turning to, in order to fill that void, it always gonna come up empty, because there ain't no high like the Most High. I like that! "

Hannah ^_^

Image
Oh myyyyy... I can't believe she did it...but it's true...I really wanted to do this and write a post about somebody I've met recently face to face, but she took the step before me :) and wrote about me...really interesting. God works in such marvelous ways...but I still don't understand how could it happen this way :)) Really funny! *I want to thank Hannah for the post : thaaaaaank you very much my dear friend, it was a real surprise to me, I'm still overwhelmed (in a good way)! You're so dear to me, too! * So, when I first met Hannah on Shelfari , it was her pic which I liked very much, then what she wrote about herself (but I don't remember the words anymore...eeee :( it's soooo sad) and afterwards her christian books on her shelf which made me stop and request her friendship. After only ONE (comment)-reply we exchanged e-mail addresses and wrote each other.

Camp...part 1

Image
The previous week we were in a camp! It was great and I've learnt many things from the teachings of Iulian Avramescu . We were blessed to have him in our camp...really!!! I was very thankful to God for choosing him! You know, I prayed to God to send us a great youth leader who lives what he preaches and loves God very much! And Iulian was the answer...yeheeee. God always answers the prayers of His children...(thank you, Daddy). I'll share only some awesome things he shared with us ('some' because everything he said was amazing and true, but I would write page after page): When you know the truth, it is very important how you'll handle it. Your walk should be faster than your mouth. What you need to know about communication: 1. know both parts 2. don't criticize or interpret 3. don't assume/interpret things 4. don't delay 5. tell your opinion as nice as possible God can use your enemy to break down your walls. The true coolness is ...

God's there for you

The only one who will NEVER let you down...is GOD!!! People will disappoint you in your life (believe me) even if they love you. Family members, friends, relatives, neighbors, etc. But God is always there to get you through everything and to encourage you with His Words which are sweet and precious to your soul and spirit! So put your trust in GOD who'll always be by your side :) God's Words are the best ... They are more desirable than gold, even the finest gold. They are sweeter than honey, even honey dripping from the comb.   Psalm 19:10

God's grace

They (the people) are what God made them and I'm what God made me. I'm unique- in a good way. Yes, I make mistakes but I'm not a mistake. With God's grace, I can work on loving myself, on being the capable person He's made me to be! Others were given in exchange for you. I traded their lives for yours because you are precious to me. You are honored, and I love you. Isaiah 43:4

Daddy

Image
I want to share with you something I've learnt from my daddy: My daddy...I didn't have a better pic on this PC...but he is beautiful, isn't he? If you want to know how someone's relationship with God is, you can see it by how he stands to the Church, to the people of God!   Daddy is the best 'living Word' I saw...'living Word' meaning to live after the Word of God! I thank God for him! He is so humble, and I pray that He shall be blessed with health, boldness, holiness and power!!!!

Guidance

I want to apologize from everybody... God is so great. He really is! He teaches me and answers my prayers! Oh, I would tell everyone how wonderful it is to live with GOD and to be guided by His Holy Spirit.  GOD is so perfect, He loves us soooo soooo much that we really can't realize and understand how much! He showed me these words which I'm going to share with you: " Accept other believers who are weak in faith, and don’t argue with them about what they think is right or wrong...Who are you to condemn God’s servants? They are responsible to the Lord, so let him tell them whether they are right or wrong. The Lord’s power will help them do as they should... For we are not our own masters when we live or when we die.   While we live, we live to please the Lord. And when we die, we go to be with the Lord. So in life and in death, we belong to the Lord.  Christ died and rose again for this very purpose, so that he might be Lord of those who a...
