To really know

Image
Image by 0fjd125gk87 I'm so happy to have some time to sit down and write some things that have been on my mind lately. I've been very busy, and my life has been in a hurry, being in haste to do everything and fit everything into the week and then start a new week with the same hectic lifestyle, which was slowly robbing me of joy, concentration, energy, and hobbies or things I like to do for myself. I've been looking at my life and I was seeing how I enjoy my job and all the work I'm doing, but I'm in a constant giving and I don't invest in myself and the things I enjoy doing. I'm grateful that I've been able to travel and spend time with people I love, but the first thing that caught my attention, after having some time away from work and the frantic life, was not having enough time for what's the most important in my life: my connection and intimacy with God either. When I realized this, I started being more aware of where most of my time and energ...

Run to, not from

Photo by Joshua Sortino on Unsplash I missed writing on my blog, because I really enjoy it a lot. What I want to write about today is knowing that God is a very good Father, always thinking of the best of us and for us. I can't describe how thankful I am and how my heart is overflowing with gratitude. It's astonishing to see how much He cares for an unimportant girl in a little town in an Eastern European country on a little planet. The lesson I'm learning to practice and believe in with my heart's mind is: God loves me unconditionally and wants me close. You may think: didn't you know that already? It's an old story. Yes, you're right, because He was, is and always will be like that. I won't complicate my post. And I hope from now on I will post short thoughts and things I've been learning. So stay tuned. Now back to what I meant with the statement: God loves me unconditionally! I realized that running to God whenever you fail, ...

Losing the Best

Photo by Harman Abiwardani on Unsplash I want to write about something I have written before in some of my posts. It's about loosing sight of God, but afterwards being restored. Since we're nearing the end of this year, I reflected on how this year was for me. Question upon question was swirling in my head about some things God spoke to my heart in such a precision and affection that I couldn't really understand half of it, but I was faithful to His leadership and I knew He was the One who would know what He has planned for me. My relationship with God was always simple and profound, at the same time. Simple... because I was an unqualified match for Him, but still I felt loved and accepted by His embrace and I knew I can be honest with Him and tell Him everything that concerned my life and everything around me. When I entered this relationship, I received a new relational identity...the identity of a daughter. This leads to the profound part, because the Fathe...

Juncture between the God of love and the barren soul

Image
This is my first post this year and I find its topic perfect. My heart is full of joy, satisfaction, delight, worship, wonder, yearning, pleasure and treasures. Words can't really describe what I'm going through but still I'm happy for finding beautiful English words for it. As you know God fulfilled one of my dreams and I was so happy to go on this trip with Him ( read more here ). It was so special and precious to me, but maybe I'll tell you more about my trip to the USA later. Today I want to focus on the preciousness of the wilderness season in my life. Last year, the year of 2016 was a hard year for me and I can say that I walked through the wilderness, weakness and loneliness. It wasn't an exterior, but rather an interior experience, where my beliefs were tested and my life was been shaken by God. From deep within I had been crying out to God to manifest Himself in my life, but I wasn't seeing much. In the contrary, I saw the opposite. It was as if eve...

When the Path Disappoints by @DanaCandler

On my birthday God gave me such great words to heal my heart deeper in a way only He can and to bring my focus back: totally on Him. I was amazed by how God comes close to me. I start to be thankful for the disappointments in my life, not anticipating but knowing that His ways for me are perfect. They have made my heart stronger and more love-sick than before. I'm on a path where I delight myself in God, His Words to me and His plans for me...which gives me such a fulfillment that I can't put it into words. This is the way I really like it, being romanced by Jesus. It's so divine that I can't comprehend it, but it's an inevitable walk of waiting on Him and walking with Him. He is so real to me, even when I cannot see and everything around me is spinning. I would give everything to be able to describe the beauty and fullness of it all. I'm learning that words are not everything, but the heart with which something is conveyed makes all the difference. So, let me...

I've been found by love

Image
Even in times of trouble I have a joyful confidence, knowing that my pressures will develop in me patient endurance. And patient endurance will refine my character, and proven character leads me back to hope. And this hope is not a disappointing fantasy, because I can now experience the endless love of God cascading into my heart through the Holy Spirit who lives in me! [Romans 5:3-5 made personal by me] TPT These past days I've been going through some deep stuff with God. Starting at being hopeless and ending in being full of hope, faith and love for Him. He told me that He chose me to be close to Him and asked me frankly: "Have you grown weary with your journey?" My answer was sad, honest, and I was crying out: "Yes, everything looks so hopeless around me! I want to see all those great things I've been dreaming with You! I want to see the fruits of my investment and faithfulness! It hurts so much to be wandering around again and again seeing the same tu...

The deep cry of our hearts

Image
I was thinking about things I see happening in our local church and my town and I was often discouraged and I had a deep sorrow in my heart. I've kept hungering for more from God and thirsting increasingly after His presence. I've kept dreaming about a transformed society in this town and awaiting a revival. It's so interesting because a few weeks ago I read Hannah's story in the Bible and I was touched by the story. Afterwards God spoke to me exactly from the same story through Corey Russell's book about prayer. So I'll put these things into this post, because I instantly knew God wants to highlight these things.   Despite the disappointment and pain caused by the fact that she was barren , Hannah insisted and continued to bring the deepest desire of her heart before God . Right from the beginning of the book of 1 Samuel we meet two wives , very different from each other . One had children, and the other didn’t...

Even if you don't feel...

Image
The previous week I've had such a spirit of condemnation and shame upon me. I had such a melancholic depression upon me that I thought I'm going crazy. I felt all the pain that I went through in my earlier years and was feeling so sad and dirty. Although I knew I'm in Christ and I'm no longer the same person I was and although I was living my daily life, these feelings haunted me and wouldn't want to leave. It was like a winter season I was experiencing with its cold winds blowing through every part of me, shivering in the cold and vibrating silently like a single leaf that remained there on the tree after autumn. It was weird indeed... unpleasant as well. Then I realized I was focusing on me, how I lived, how I am and how I'm going to be. I was obsessed with seeing the things I lacked in my relationship with the Lord and all the deficiencies in my time with Him. I started searching for reasons why I'm feeling this way. I thought I was living after the b...

How to focus on the goal of your faith in the midst of difficulties

Image
Every day we face problems which are slowly trying to extinguish the joy that God poured into our hearts, but look what the apostle Peter said:  "And through your faith, God is protecting you by his power until you receive this salvation, which is ready to be revealed on the last day for all to see. So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you have to endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

God's there for you

The only one who will NEVER let you down...is GOD!!! People will disappoint you in your life (believe me) even if they love you. Family members, friends, relatives, neighbors, etc. But God is always there to get you through everything and to encourage you with His Words which are sweet and precious to your soul and spirit! So put your trust in GOD who'll always be by your side :) God's Words are the best ... They are more desirable than gold, even the finest gold. They are sweeter than honey, even honey dripping from the comb.   Psalm 19:10
